Errol Spence Jr. Retains WBC And IBF Titles After Defeating Danny Garcia
Errol Spence Jr. has defended both the WBC and IBF Welterweight championships by defeating Danny Garcia via Unanimous Decision.
Inside the populated AT&T stadium, Spence dominated Garcia over the duration of the bout emerging victorious and retaining his undefeated record.
The bout comes after a long layoff for Spence who was forced to take time off after injuries stemming from a car accident. This layoff proved to make little difference as he still used his excellent boxing skills to outclass Garcia.
Entering the bout former two-division champion Garcia was coming off back-to-back wins, the first in 2019 with a KO of Adrian Granados and then in January of 2020 with a unanimous decision victory against Ivan Redkach.
For Spence, this victory takes him to 27 and 0. with his most recent fight prior against Shawn Porter in September of 2019 ending with a split decision to claim the WBC belt.
