Errol Spence Jr. Says Terence Crawford Will Be ‘A One-Sided Ass Whooping’
Errol Spence Jr. believes his fight against Terence Crawford won’t be close as many think.
Spence Jr. and Crawford are set to box on July 29 in a highly-anticipated matchup and a fight that is years in the making. Although Spence Jr. and Crawford are two of the best fighters in any weight class, Spence Jr. is confident he won’t just win, but will dominate Crawford.
“Terence is a great fighter and I’m gonna break another great fighter’s will. Mentally and physically, I’m gonna dominate and come out on top,” Spence Jr. said. “Terence hasn’t fought anybody. Even Shawn Porter said he didn’t train like he should against him. Kell Brook was already broken. I broke Kell Brook’s other eye, that’s how he got broke.”
Although Errol Spence Jr. has taken some aim at Terence Crawford’s record, he still is excited for the matchup as he knows it is a big payday for him, and an easy fight.
According to Spence Jr., he says it may take a few rounds for him to get going, but he guarantees it will be a one-sided ass-whooping.
“This is gonna be a one-sided ass whooping. It’s gonna take a few rounds, because he’s a tough dude. But everyone gets broke and we’re gonna break him down,” Spence Jr. said. “I can guarantee you this is gonna be an action-packed, old-school type of fight. If you’ve been craving those old fights, you have to tune into this one. This is a legendary fight. Belts aside, you talk about just these two fighters, this is the biggest fight in boxing. Especially because of the action we bring. We’re both going for the victory.”
Spence Jr. enters the fight coming off a TKO win over Yordenis Ugas.
