Floyd Mayweather Reveals The Best And Roughest Fighter He’s Ever Faced
Floyd Mayweather is set for another exhibition bout as he will take on YouTuber, Logan Paul on June 6.
Ahead of the fight, Mayweather discussed the best and roughest fighter he’s ever faced. Mayweather is 50-0 and has fought the best of the best like Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, and countless others. However, according to Mayweather, he says Pacquiao is the best fighter he’s ever faced.
The best fighter I ever fought probably was Manny Pacquiao,” Mayweather said to the ‘Million Dollaz Worth Of Game’ podcast. “He’s a hell of a fighter and I can see why he won so many fights and I can see why he’s going down as a Hall of Famer. It’s because of his movement. It’s just certain moves he makes.”
Pacquiao no doubt is one of the best boxers ever and although he fought Mayweather, many wanted them to fight years in advance. Yet, at least they did end up boxing and Mayweather got the win.
As for the roughest fighter, many expected Mayweather to see Conor McGregor given the moves he did punching in the clinch and using some illegal punches. Yet, Mayweather says Emmanuel Augustus was the toughest he fought.
“The roughest fighter probably was a guy named Emmanuel Augustus. The ‘Drunken Master’ was tough,” Mayweather added. “He was just tough. Miguel Cotto was very, very physically strong.”
Floyd Mayweather is 50-0 as a pro but has not boxed professionally since the win over Conor McGregor. He did do an exhibition match in RIZIN against Tenshin Nasukawa where he dominated the fight with a TKO win.
