Frank Martin Plans To ‘Show Up And Show Out’ To Upset Gervonta Davis
Frank Martin is confident he will be able to pull off an upset against Gervonta Davis on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Martin is set to face Davis in a fight he is a sizeable betting underdog as many are expecting Davis to get the win. However, Martin has confidence he will be able to pull off the upset in a life-changing moment for him.
“I feel like this is one of those moments where all the hard work I put in is paying off,” Martin said at his media workout (via BoxingScene). “This just feels like a life-changing moment.”
Martin is a +450 underdog which implies a 18.2% chance of winning, but he has confidence he can pull off the upset. Martin knows Davis will be fast and powerful, but he believes he can pull off the upset and shock the world.
“I believe in myself, even if the world is against me,” said Martin. “It’s just time for me to show up and show out… We all know what ‘Tank’ brings, but a lot of guys don’t know what I bring. They know a little bit of it, but they don’t know the full arsenal I have. We know ‘Tank’ is explosive and fast. He’s got it all, but on fight night, the world will see that I’ve got it all, too.”
Frank Martin is 18-0 as a pro and coming off a decision win over Artem Harutyunyan back in July of last year. He also holds notable wins over Michel Rivera, Jackson Martinez, and Romero Duno among others.
