Ryan Garcia Calls For ‘Tank’ Davis Bout Following TKO Of Luke Campbell

Following his incredible TKO victory over Luke Campbell, Ryan Garcia now has his sights set on WBA lightweight, and WBA (super) super-featherweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

Coming into their fight, Campbell hadn’t fought since August of 2019, where he lost a unanimous decision to Vasyl Lomachenko, while Garcia had gone 2-0 in that time, having fought in November, and February.

Campbell came into this fight with a record of 20-3, but his only defeats came to Yvan Mendy via split decision, which he avenged via unanimous decision, Jorge Linares via split decision in a crazy back-and-forth war that could’ve went either way, and as you’ve read, a unanimous decision to Vasyl Lomachenko.

While that’d also be a great fight, it appears Garcia has different plans for now. Both Haney and Garcia are only 22-years-old, and they’re both undefeated, with Haney at 25-0 with 15 knockouts, and Garcia having improved his record to 21-0 with 18 knockouts following this victory.

Davis himself just turned 26-years-old, and he’s 24-0 with 23 knockouts. Both of these match ups are very compelling, Garcia versus Haney, and Garcia versus Davis. They both make sense, and they should both happen.
