Gennady Golovkin’s Greatest Hits
Some may argue that the sweet science, boxing, is a dying art, and in some ways that may be true as it just doesn’t seem as if there are many intriguing fights left at some points. However, that theory flies out the window tonight.
Live on HBO Pay-Per-View (PPV) from the mecca of boxing, Madison Square Garden, two middleweight champions will do battle in a unification bout as boxing’s most feared man in WBA, IBO, and interim WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin takes on his stiffest test to date in the form of IBF middleweight boss David Lemieux.
Many are expecting this to be a fire fight and for good reason as the two have combined for 61 knockouts in in 67 victories.
“GGG” specifically boasts an undefeated 33-0 record featuring 30 knockouts including a magnificent 20-straight. Since making the move to America just a few years back, the Kazakh born slugger has made a name for himself, and has become a breakout star in the process.
Tonight, however, he makes his PPV debut against a legitimate threat in the also powerful Lemieux. To get prepared for the highly-anticipated bout check out Golovkin’s greatest hits, and most vicious knockouts in the montage above courtesy of HBO Boxing.
Will “GGG” score his 21st-straight knockout, or will Lemieux shock the boxing world?
