Gervonta Davis Suspected To Be Involved In A Hit-And-Run In Baltimore
According to WJZ, Gervonta Davis was involved in a hit-and-run car accident last night in Baltimore, Maryland. Sources told the police that Davis was driving a car that ran through a red light and struck another vehicle. Police still have yet to confirm whether or not Davis was driving the car, or even at the scene.
WJZ reported the following at 1:53 AM ET on Thursday, November 5, 2020:
‘Baltimore Police was called to the scene for a report of a multi-vehicle collision. They found several people suffering from minor injuries and one person was taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to their report.
According to police, a vehicle ran through a red light and struck another vehicle, then left the scene.’
Davis, 25, is coming off the biggest win of his career, where he KO’d Leo Santa Cruz in a title-winning and title-defending effort. He’s now a world champion at both 130 lbs and 135 lbs.
Santa Cruz, 32, came in with a record of 37-1-1, having avenged his only loss, and he’d never been finished. Davis starched him badly toward the end of round six and improved his record to 24-0 with 23 knockouts.
It’s unfortunate Davis’ name has been brought up in this regard, hopefully he wasn’t even at the scene, let alone driving, like police still need to confirm.
We’ve known for a little while now though, Davis does have a wild side, and a slightly dark side, as we saw with him and his ex-girlfriend earlier this year, where he was arrested for domestic violence.
He’s also been arrested for first-degree assault back in 2017, which was ultimately reduced to a second-degree. And he was also arrested one separate time in 2018 for himself and another man starting a fist fight.
As you see, if this is true, it’s not exactly new to him. He’s young, he has a lot of money, and he’s literally on top of the world. Let’s hope he had nothing to do with this, and let’s hope those arrest days are behind him.
