Gervonta Davis explains fighting Lamont Roach and looks ahead to possible future fights

Gervonta Davis has looked ahead to possible future fights he could have – and he also spoke candidly about other potential opponents.
As we all know, Gervonta Davis is one of the most impressive boxers in the entire sport. At the age of just 30, he’s already been able to put together a career in which he has reached 30-0 for his pro boxing record. Even those who don’t particularly like him can’t help but appreciate what he’s brought to the game.
Now, as we look ahead to the immediate future, Gervonta Davis is preparing to lock horns with Lamont Roach. The two will collide this Saturday night, as ‘Tank’ aims to grow his legacy even further. In a recent interview, Gervonta spoke about what the future holds for him.
Gervonta Davis looks ahead
Stephen A. Smith: “Why this fight, Lamont Roach? What has he done to deserve to be in the ring with you? You got Ryan Garcia saying when he gets back in the ring, he wants you. You got Lomachenko, who people are talking about should be in the ring with you. Of course, Shakur Stevenson.
“A lot of people are talking about him and whether you’re going to fight him down the road. What do you see in terms of in the ring, who you will go up in against, assuming you win on Saturday night, which most people assume will happen. Who do you see yourself in a big fight going up against, the marquee fight for you?”
Gervonta Davis: “All those guys. It’s not one specific name I would say. Me sharing the ring with all those guys would be big. He’s a world champion himself. He’s coming up in weight and daring to be great. We fought before. So, it’s history in that. It’s two guys trying to be great.”
