Jake Paul Believes Gervonta Davis Lost To Isaac Cruz, Blasts ‘Tank’ For His Performance
Jake Paul, like many, thought Gervonta Davis lost to Isaac Cruz and was disappointed with his performance.
Since Paul has taken over the boxing world, he and Davis have taken shots at one another. Although they will never fight due to their size difference, they still have been vocal about their displeasure for one another.
On Sunday night, however, it was Davis entering the ring against Cruz who many expected him to win with ease. Yet, that was not the case as it was a lackluster performance and for Paul, he thinks Davis lost.
“I thought (Davis) lost,” Paul said on media during a media call to promote his rematch with Tyron Woodley. “. He didn’t throw his… he hurt his (left) hand or whatever. He didn’t throw a single left and some of the judges gave those rounds to him. It doesn’t make any sense. He calls me a clown but he had a clown performance.
“I thought he lost. I think a lot of people will say that and I agree as well,” Paul continued. “I thought they were going to give him a draw because he’s signed with Mayweather Promotions, Al Haymon and we know how dirty boxing is, how judges are being paid off. Of course, those close swing rounds would get thrown to Gervonta Davis.”
Even though Jake Paul doesn’t agree with the decision, Gervonta Davis improved to 26-0 and will have options for his next fight. Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney have been vocal about fighting him, but no matter who it is, it will be a highly-anticipated bout.
