Jake Paul Issues Challenge To Tyson Fury Following Wilder Trilogy
Jake Paul is stirring up the pot once again, and this time he’s taking aim at Tyson Fury.
Paul is laying down a challenge to “The Gypsy King” following his victory over Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight. Fury and Wilder traded knockdowns in their instant classic. Ultimately, it was Fury who knocked Wilder out in the 11th round.
After the fight, Jake Paul hopped on Twitter to say the following.
“I think Tyson Fury might have finally earned the chance to fight me.”
While Jake isn’t likely to get a showdown with Tyson Fury anytime soon, he could be in for a bout with his brother Tommy. Tommy has expressed his belief that Jake doesn’t want to fight him. Here’s what he told TMZ (via BoxingScene).
“It’d be over inside a round. From what I’ve seen against Tyron Woodley the other night, he’s scared to throw a punch when he’s in with somebody who could even knock him out.
“He don’t want to commit. He took one shot and nearly fell through the ropes. From what I seen the other day, I have my hands up, walk straight to him and get him out of there inside three minutes. My message to Jake Paul is that he’s a massive p-ssy and he doesn’t want to fight. He’s not a fighting man. So when he grows a pair of bollocks, come and see me, but until then, don’t mention my name ever again.”
Tommy Fury slammed Paul over a $1 million fight offer. It appears now, the two sides have been in serious talks to bring that boxing match to reality. Time will tell whether or not a deal will materialize soon but if it does, Tommy would be the most credible boxer Paul has faced.
