Jake Paul Open To Boxing Brother Logan: ’He Can Catch That Smoke’

Jake Paul

YouTube celebrity turned professional fighter Jake Paul says he is willing to face off against his older brother Logan Paul in the boxing ring. Jake has transitioned to boxing in 2020 and improved his record to 2-0 on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr and scored a highlight-reel knockout win over former NBA player Nate Robinson in the pay-per-view co main event.

Logan has fought professionally just once. The popular YouTuber fell to a split decision loss against fellow internet celebrity KSI in their September 2019 rematch of a fight that took place under amateur rules in 2018 and ended in a majority draw. He is now set to face off against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition set to take place early next year.

The 23-year-old revealed he was open to the idea of boxing his brother but insisted it was nothing to do with money and everything to do with sibling rivalry.

“Yes, I would fight him, but it wouldn’t be about the money,” said Jake (via Boxing Scene). “For me, it’s about proving to all of the younger brothers out there that you don’t have to be in the shadow of your older brother. I think I would fight him just because I want to prove everyone wrong. Maybe not after [my win vs. Nate Robinson] but most people would think he would beat me because he is bigger and looks more ripped. But I’m a real dog. He can catch that smoke eventually. I love him to death, so it’s a weird kind of thing to talk about. Maybe we’ll grow up, and a year from now I’ll change my mind. I’m 23 and make stupid decisions. Who knows what will happen.”
