Jake Paul Plans To Win A World Title Within 10 Fights And Retire From Boxing
Jake Paul already has an exit plan for boxing.
Paul, the former Disney star and YouTuber, has taken the boxing world by storm as he’s 4-0 and set to box Tommy Fury on December 18. He’s coming off a split decision win over Tyron Woodley and has been the talk of the combat sports world and for Paul, he says his goal has to always win a world title and once he does that, he will retire from the sport.
“The sky is the limit for me right now,” Paul said during a lengthy Q&A session on his Youtube channel, responding to a question about what his ultimate boxing goal is (via Mirror). “If I want to accomplish something it’s all about me being able to do that and me making the commitment and putting in the work required to do that. But I think right now, going to 10-0, being undefeated, fighting some big names, making history and maybe taking a world championship belt from somebody just to say I did it, and retiring at 10-0.”
Whether or not Paul will actually win a world title in boxing is uncertain. However, there are so many belts in the sport, which many boxers like Floyd Mayweather have criticized, so perhaps Paul does get his hands on a title.
In order for him to achieve that goal, Jake Paul will need to beat Tommy Fury on December 18 in Tampa Bay. Fury is also undefeated and comes from the boxing family of the Fury’s and Tyson will be training him for the fight. With that, Paul is the betting underdog but he has already proved a ton of people wrong so perhaps he proves the oddsmakers wrong as well.
If he defeats Fury, he would be 5-0 and would be in line for a massive fight. He would’ve also beaten a real boxer so perhaps he gets fast-tracked to fighting for the belt.
Do you think Jake Paul will ever be a world champion?
