Jake Paul Set To Face Professional Fighter On April 17 Pay-Per-View

YouTube celebrity turned professional boxer Jake Paul has a date for his third fight. The controversial star is set to return to the ring on April 17 and will headline Snoop Dogg’s newly launched Fight Club on Triller pay-per-view.

Paul enjoyed a successful 2020 in boxing. The 23-year-old picked up two knockout wins. Most notably, he slept former NBA player Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. in November.

Since then, Paul has been relentlessly pursuing a fight with UFC megastar Conor McGregor and his teammate Dillon Danis. The former UFC double champ has shown little interest in fighting Paul as he has bigger fish to fry.

McGregor will rematch Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 this weekend before looking ahead to a potential boxing match with Manny Pacquiao later this year. Danis on the other hand is currently on the mend after undergoing a seven-hour reconstructive knee surgery in 2020.

As of right now it is unclear who Paul will face on April 17. Announcing the news, he is set to headline later this year, he said.

“Hate me or love me, you can’t stop me. April 17, I headline a global PPV event and I am getting my third knock-out in a row. I look to prove to the world that I am and I will remain one of the biggest names in this sport. Thank you to Triller, Bobby, Ryan and Snoop for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent to the world. Given their leadership, I know the visuals, performances, and production value on this show will be unlike anything anyone has seen. Together, we will continue to break records.”

Snopp Dogg who is backing the event is confident Paul is capable of carrying a boxing pay-per-view, he said.

“Jake Paul had viewers around the globe shocked during his last fight, which led to an unforgettable KO. This fight will have fans talking for months.”
