Jake Paul Set To Return On December 15 Against Andre August
Jake Paul has his return opponent set.
Paul and his promotion announced the YouTuber-turned-boxer would return on December 15 against an opponent TBD. Now, on Wednesday, it was announced that Paul is booked to return against Andre August.
“I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion, so I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life,” Paul said in a press release. “So far, my entire boxing career has been on pay-per-view, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring against seasoned fighters. I’m coming to prove my greatness on Friday, December 15th live on DAZN for the world to see.”
Jake Paul is 7-1 and returned to the win column back in August with a decision win over Nate Diaz. Prior to that, he lost to Tommy Fury in his first bout against a real boxer, as he now faces another pro boxer in August.
Andre August is 10-1-1 with five KO’s and riding a five-fight win streak. He’s coming off a decision victory over the undefeated 7-0 Brandon Martin.
“I don’t talk very much. I’m all about that action! Jake Paul has the money, the fame, the team and the resources but he doesn’t have my hunger,” said August. “When that bell rings, I am going to go straight to Jake Paul and ring his bell and send him back to YouTube for good.”
The event is set to take place at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, FL on December 15.
