Jake Paul Takes A Shot At ‘Slow’ Nate Diaz, But Confident They Can Make The Fight Happen
Jake Paul is hoping to face Nate Diaz next time out.
Paul picked up the biggest win of his career on Saturday as he defeated Anderson Silva by a unanimous decision at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. After the victory, he made it clear he wants to face Nate Diaz, especially after Diaz’s team tried to fight his team before the fight.
“Nate Diaz was here, acting like a bitch,” Paul said during his post-fight press conference. “Everyone wants that fight. He tried to fight people in the hallway. You know, Nate, stop fighting people for free. Let’s do it in the ring, okay? I know you’re a little slow, buddy, but it’s okay. We can make that fight happen.”
Nate Diaz fought out his contract back at UFC 279 as he defeated Tony Ferguson by submission. Since then, many expected him to box Jake Paul and the intrigue only increased after the two teams got into a scuffle on Saturday night.
“I haven’t seen the video and I didn’t really know what happened [before my fight],” Paul said. “I just know there was an altercation with my team. I was focused on what was going on [with the Silva fight], but I was made aware of it afterwards. And it’s, you know, typical of [Diaz]. That’s what he likes to do. He’s a street gangster. He likes to act tough and he’s really not. Like, why you trying to beat someone up in the hallway, bro?”
As of right now, it’s still uncertain if Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz would happen, as the Stockton native has been known to be difficult to make fights with. However, it would be a massive fight and a massive payday for both men.
