Jarrell Miller Believes He Would Retire Anthony Joshua If They Fight
Jarrell Miller is confident he wouldn’t just beat Anthony Joshua but would stop him.
Miller and Joshua were supposed back in 2019 at Madison Square Garden for Joshua’s titles but Miller failed a drug test. He was then replaced by Andy Ruiz Jr. who shockingly stopped Joshua to become the new heavyweight champ.
Since then, Miller has been vocal in wanting to face Joshua. As the Brit is set to return on August 12, Miller is hoping he can be the opponent but all signs point to Dillian Whyte getting that opportunity.
Yet, if the Whyte fight doesn’t happen, Jarrell Miller is hopeful he can replace him as he thinks he would retire Anthony Joshua.
“I’ll annihilate him! Retire him! Send him backpacking – plain and simple. I’m not playing no games with nobody. I’m playing no games. There is bad blood there in a boxing sense so it would be great entertainment,” Miller told Stamina For Sale. “It’s nothing personal, I just don’t care for him, but when I see you on my radar, I don’t like you. I don’t like anything about you. I want to rip your guts out and nothing [is] going to change that. I’m not going anywhere for a while, I’m back, I’m here to stay and I’m coming with vengeance. And if anybody wants the smoke they know I’m here. I’m back baby.”
As of right now, Eddie Hearn has said they don’t have much interest in making the Jarrell Miller fight against Anthony Joshua. Hearn has said they have two other options besides Whyte and Miller is not among them.
Miller last fought professionally back in March and scored a TKO win over Lucas Browne to improve to 26-0-1. He also fought Antonio Zepeda in an exhibition match on June 11 on the Floyd Mayweather vs. John Gotti III undercard.
