Jarrell Miller Not Surprised Zhilei Zhang Beat Joe Joyce, Eyes Dillian Whyte Or Derek Chisora

Jarrell Miller wasn’t surprised Zhilei Zhang pulled off the upset and beat Joe Joyce.

Zhang was a sizeable underdog and many were writing him off as some were already thinking Joyce could be a challenge for Tyson Fury. Yet, Zhang dominated Joyce from the get-go and earned a stoppage win, which Miller says was what he expected.

“Big Zhang just whooped Joe Joyce’s ass,” Miller said on his social media (h/t BoxingScene). “I told a lot of people not to sleep on big Zhang. I said the boy can crack. I sparred him a couple times. I got in his ass a couple of times, but the boy cracked me a couple times. So I know the guy can crack, and he’s good dude. So I am happy for big Zhang, the big ass China man. And yes, he’s based out of New York City, so he gave [Joyce] a New York beatdown. I’m proud of you, Zhang.”

Although Zhilei Zhang got the win, Jarrell Miller says he isn’t calling him out or Joe Joyce. Instead, he wants to face Dillian Whyte or Derrick Chisora as he believes both fights make sense for them.

“I’m not here to call out Zhang, I’m not here to say nothin’ about Joe Joyce,” Miller said. “I wanna fight a Brit, though. I wanna fight Dillian Whyte. I wanna fight [Derrick] Chisora.”

Jarrell Miller (26-0-1) is coming off a TKO win over Lucas Browne in March in Dubai and before that, TKO’d Derek Cardenas. In his career, he holds notable wins over Gerald Washington, Bogdan Dinu, and Mariusz Wach among others.
