Katie Taylor is ecstatic to be fighting back home in Ireland.
With Taylor fighting at home, she has been out in the public to talk to fans and promote her upcoming fight. During her open workout to the public, the fans were full of young women which Taylor says is special.
“They must have got the time off from school or something,” Taylor joked to BoxingScene.com. “I don’t know how they ended up there and not in school. But to know I’ve had a small impact on these young girls, that’s the most satisfying part about all of this. It was amazing, You could feel the excitement from everyone out there. Seeing so many young girls out there who take the time to see me is special.”
Taylor is fighting in Ireland for the first time in her carer as she will take on Chantelle Cameron in a bout that headlines a DAZN show this Saturday from Dublin’s 3Arena which is sold out.
Katie Taylor is also one of the biggest stars in all of boxing, especially after her win over Amanda Serrano. Since then, her popularity has been massive and Taylor says it is incredible to have this influence over the next generation of young female boxers.
