Leigh Wood Rallies To KO Michael Conlan In The 12th Round Of FOTY Contender – Highlights
Leigh Wood scored a stunning comeback victory to defend his WBA featherweight title.
The Nottingham native was dropped heavily in the first round by Michael Conlan who bossed much of the fight.
Despite dominating large parts of the bout Conlan was unable to deter Wood who continued to come forward.
Wood started to find success in the championship rounds and scored a knockdown in round 11.
The 33-year-old needed a finish and found it in the final round as he knocked Conlan out through the ropes.
It’s currently unclear what condition Conlan is in. We wish him a speedy recovery.
