Logan Paul Asked Floyd Mayweather To “Chill” During Boxing Match (Video)
Logan Paul was talking to Floyd Mayweather in their exhibition boxing match and he joked with the undefeated fighter to take it easy on him.
On June 6 in Miami, Florida, Paul and Mayweather fought in a highly-anticipated bout. It was an intriguing matchup due to the size advantage Paul had. Yet, Mayweather was the much better boxer but he couldn’t get the stoppage win and they went the distance.
Now, in a recently uploaded YouTube video, Paul is heard asking Mayweather to chill and reminded him it’s only an exhibition.
“Chill champ, chill. It’s just an exhibition,” Paul said.
Mayweather did have some moments in the match and landed some big shots. Paul also began to gas out so it was a surprise the 50-0 boxer couldn’t get a stoppage win. Yet, Mayweather admitted he was surprised Paul was as good as he was.
“I had fun, you’ve got to realize I’m not 21 anymore but it’s good to move around with these young guys, test my skills just to have some fun,” Mayweather said after the fight. “Great young fighter, strong, tough, he’s better than I thought he was. As far as with the big guys, the heavyweights, it’s going to be kind of hard.
“But he’s a tough, rough competitor, it was good action, had fun, I was surprised by him tonight. I fought against a heavyweight, but I had fun,” Mayweather continued. “Even though he’s not got that much experience, he knew how to use his weight and tie me up tonight. I had fun, pretty sure he had fun and hopefully the fans enjoyed it.”
After the event, Mayweather also revealed that was the last time he would box. Paul, meanwhile, is looking to get back into the ring soon and will likely face another big fight.
