Logan Paul Believes He Could Beat Mike Tyson After Going The Distance Against Floyd Mayweather
Logan Paul believes if he were to box Mike Tyson at this current stage he would win the fight.
Back on June 6 in Miami, Florida, Paul went all eight rounds against Floyd Mayweather and had some brief moments of success early on in the fight. Yet, as the boxing match went on, he began to get more tired but Mayweather didn’t have the power to put him away.
After he went the distance, the big question was who would he box next. Paul no doubt has options and one name that has floated around is Mike Tyson. If that ends up being the fight, the YouTuber turned boxer believes he wins that fight.
“Someone mentioned Mike Tyson, like how funny is it? One great at a time,” Paul said on his podcast Impaulsive (via Sky Sports). “Or is it like you can only fight one? My lawyer mentioned it and he was like: ‘No, Tyson will rip your head off, you don’t stand a chance’. I’m like: ‘Bro, I literally just went through all of this, you can’t tell me I can’t beat Mike Tyson’. Bro, he’s old, old.”
If Paul and Tyson were to fight, it would be a massive event. The reported pay-per-view buys were over 1 million for Paul-Mayweather so a fight with Tyson would likely do just as good or even better.
Yet, at this time, it’s uncertain Tyson or Paul would actually take the fight. But, the former heavyweight champ has said he will return this fall and was open to more exhibition bouts.
“We continue training. He’s an athlete and is always training, hitting pads here in the gym. I think we’re going to have something in September. I don’t know who because his company Legends Only League is working on it and negotiating a TV deal so they can announce a schedule, but we’re training. We’ll be fighting in September,” his coach, Rafael Cordeiro said to MMAFighting.com.
