Logan Paul Has Opponent Lined Up & It Isn’t Anderson Silva
Logan Paul appears to have his next fight set but it won’t be against Anderson Silva.
Paul is fresh off an exhibition match with boxing Hall of Fame elect Floyd Mayweather. The popular YouTube star is already looking to get back inside the ring. He claims he even has an opponent lined up.
It won’t be Silva, however, as he revealed on The Pain Game podcast (h/t Bloody Elbow).
“I know who my next opponent is.
“Anderson does look good … he’s kind of leading the charge,” he said. “Tito looked like fucking shit. Vitor Belfort looked like fucking shit … I don’t want to be a full on professional boxer. I literally have no interest in doing that. I have an interest in putting on the biggest shows in the world and Vitor Belfort is not that …
“Anderson is still not that. It’s more interesting, but here’s why, here’s what I have to weigh, ready? How good is the guy and how much are they bringing to the table. Anderson is very good as a boxer and he doesn’t bring that much to the table. It’s risk-reward, it’s a fucking business. Bro, would I fight Anderson Silva? Yes. Do I think I can beat him? Yes. Am I going to? Probably not.”
Silva had expressed interest in facing the Paul brothers but it doesn’t look like the feeling is mutual. “The Spider” is coming off a first-round knockout victory over UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz in a boxing match. This was the bout that followed Silva’s stunning split decision win over former boxing world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Time will tell who Logan Paul will fight next. He has insisted that his next opponent will be an actual fighter and not a fellow influencer.
