Manny Pacquiao Hints At Boxing Match Against Conor McGregor
Yet another boxing legend is teasing fighting UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. It all kicked off when McGregor made his pro-boxing debut a few months ago when he stepped into the ring to take on former champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
As seen in that fight, McGregor looked good in the early rounds but tired out and Mayweather became the aggressor that eventually saw him finish the UFC megastar in the tenth round by TKO.
It seems that every fighter wants a chance to take on McGregor these days. That leads us to eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao who wants a piece of McGregor.
Pacquiao recently posted a photo of McGregor on his official Instagram account and teased fighting him next year. He issued an indirect and very cordial challenge to the UFC lightweight champion.
Keep in mind that Pacquiao becomes the second big-name boxer to come forward and express intentions to face McGregor in recent weeks.
If you recall, six-division champion Oscar De La Hoya was the first to call him out recently as he claimed that could take out the Irish fighter in as short as two rounds. Betting odds were released for the possible fight that had McGregor as the slight favorite against the 44-year-old De La Hoya, who hasn’t fought since losing to Pacquiao in 2008.
In regards to Pacquiao, he hasn’t fought since July where he dropped the WBO welterweight title via a controversial unanimous decision verdict against a then-unknown Jeff Horn in Brisbane, Australia.
