Manny Pacquiao Officially Signs With Paradigm Sports, Same Agency As Conor McGregor
Manny Pacquiao only added to the rumors he would be boxing Conor McGregor later this year or early next year.
On Sunday, Pacquiao took to social media to announce has officially signed with Paradigm Sports and said big things are coming soon.
Excited to have officially partnered with @ParadigmSports. Grateful for the support of my family, team, and fans as I continue my professional boxing journey. Big things coming! Stay tuned!
What makes this move interesting is the fact Conor McGregor is also managed by Paradigm Sports so with them both being under the same management it should be easier to get a fight done. Fans also mentioned that on his post so perhaps a boxing match between them will actually happen.
Manny Pacquiao has not fought since July 2019 when he defeated Keith Thurman by split decision. He won the WBA welterweight title in the victory and extended his winning streak to three after he also beat Adrien Broner.
The 41-year-old has notable wins over Shane Mosley, Timothy Bradley, and Oscar De La Hoya among others but did come up short against Floyd Mayweather in one of the biggest boxing events of all-time.
Conor McGregor, meanwhile, only has one pro boxing experience and that was the legendary fight against Floyd Mayweather. The MMA star has ‘retired’ as he wanted to fight several times in the UFC in 2020 but that has not been the case. He has been linked to a fight with Dustin Poirier and said he wants it to happen by the end of the year. If it does happen, then it is likely a boxing match with Pacquiao will not happen in 2020.
If Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor do end up boxing it would be a massive fight and one that would capture the world’s attention. Pacquiao also said he wants the fight to help the Philippines COVID-19 effort as he would donate money.
