Jorge Masvidal betting favorite to fight Jake Paul next after Mike Tyson win
Despite staking his claim for a cruiserweight title fight with Canelo Alvarez next, Jake Paul is currently most likely to share the squared circle with another UFC veteran next according to markets, in the form of ex-welterweight title challenger, Jorge Masvidal.
Paul, who featured in a return to the ring last weekend in Texas, turned in a controversial win over former undisputed heavyweight world champion, Mike Tyson – beating the Brooklyn veteran in a unanimous decision victory over the course of eight, two-minute rounds.
With the victory, Paul moved to 11-1 as a professional in his brief boxing career and immediately welcomed the chance to share the ring with decorated super middleweight champion pugilist, Canelo.

However, according to odds, Paul is most likely at (+1250) to take on former Octagon megastar, Jorge Masvidal in his next boxing match – with fans and punters alike able to the best online casinos WV for their favorite casino games and odds across sporting events.
Himself featuring just earlier this year in just his sophomore professional boxing bout, Miami striking veteran, Masvidal suffered a contentious majority decision loss to two-fight rival, Nate Diaz – with the duo reigniting their feud following a 2019 meeting under the UFC banner.
However, amid links to a lucrative boxing match with Paul in the new year, Masvidal – who recently signed with Dominance MMA to be represented by prominent manager, Ali Abdelaziz, is plotting a comeback to the Octagon next year to boot.
“We’ll be coming into the UFC next year,” Jorge Masvidal said. “I think it would be Leon (Edwards). “Let’s roll the dice for the number one guy in the world. I’ll find out if I am who I say I am. I want to fight the world’s best. “I always have. I’ve been out of the game a little bit. Let’s see what’s possible.”
“We’re betting 100% on me. Leon is scared of me, man,” Jorge Masvidal added. “He’s never wanted this. Here I am, calling out his name. You ain’t got a fight. I ain’t got a fight. What’s up, motherf*cker?”
However, failing to name Masvidal as a potential opponent in the near future, Paul instead attempted to lure Mexican boxing superstar, Canelo to the ring following his scrutinized win over Tyson – claiming now was the perfect time for them to share the squared circle.
“Me vs. Canelo (Alvarez) at 200lb for the cruiserweight championship of the world is the biggest fight, arguably even bigger than me vs. Tyson, and it makes so much sense,” Jake Paul said following his win over Mike Tyson in ‘The Lone Star State’. “Canelo is on his way out.”
“He’s going to want a payday and I want to show the world all the stuff I’ve been talking about beating Canelo is actually true and I’ll have the biggest upset in the history of boxing,” Jake Paul explained. “We’ll fight to really see who is the face because after this event, I’m going to be claiming it.”
