Pete Davidson Trolls Jake Paul In SNL Skit
Pete Davidson trolled Jake Paul in an SNL skit on Saturday night as he pretended to be the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer.
Davidson and Paul have had a run in the past, as Davidson helped host the Triller Fight Club event between Paul and Ben Askren. While he was doing that and talking to Askren, he made fun of Paul and said no one likes him. He even asked Paul about the sexual assault accusations against him before the fight.
“You can tell how professional this event is by them having me here. We are backstage at Jake Paul’s dressing room, or locker room, if you wanna call it that. Today’s a really wild day for boxing because it just shows how low it’s truly sunk. I think today proves the fact that, if you have enough followers, you can truly f—ing do whatever you want. I mean, maybe [YouTuber] PewDiePie will cure cancer, and [Tik Tok star] Charli D’Amelio will become a surgeon. Uh, who knows?,” Davidson said.
“Tonight, we have a bout between Ben Askren — who I don’t know who that is still, and I’ve been reading up on him all week — and Jake Paul. And, you know, they both suck but, you know, at least somebody’s gonna get hurt. Now back to you guys in the booth, some real announcers over there,” Davidson continued.
Now, on SNL over the weekend, he was acting as Paul about talking about his next fight where he took a shot at who the YouTuber calls out and how he acts like he is the best boxer alive.
“Actually, ya I do, yo, Muhammad Ali, I’m coming for you, in the ring, in the streets, in the graveyard. You can’t hide for me forever Ali. It’s in the contract if I win that you have to change your name back to Cassius Clay,” Davidson said on SNL as he acted as Paul.
It was a funny skit as many have been critical of who Paul has been fighting against so far in his career. Yet, he is linked to a bout with undefeated pro boxer, Tommy Fury.
