Regis Prograis Sends A Warning To Devin Haney
Regis Prograis has sent a warning to Devin Haney ahead of their upcoming boxing match.
Prograis and Haney are set to fight on Saturday for their 140lbs championship fight from the Chase Center in San Francisco. During DAZN’s face-off, Prograis sends a warning to Haney that he gets hit too much and his power will be the difference in their fight.
“I’m not lookin’ at his past sh!t. I’m looking at right now, what we gonna do right now,” Prograis said (h/t BoxingScene). “That’s it. I don’t care about none of that sh!t, bro. I just know he not defensive, like people say he defensive and s**t like that. He get hit by s**t. You get hit, bro, so when you get hit by me you gonna see it’s a difference.”
Heading into the fight, Regis Prograis is a +310 underdog while Devin Haney is a -450 favorite so the oddsmakers expect Haney to lose.
Not only does Prograis expect his power to be the difference, but he has been vocal that he doesn’t think Devin Haney is all that good.
“I’m the champion, so you aren’t going to treat me like the challenger,” Prograis said to SportingNews. “I don’t see nothing great in him. I feel like I’m going to shut him down. This isn’t power vs. skill, this is skill vs. skill. I have power and skill. I don’t believe he has the heart and hunger that I have. I fought for a $1 before. His dad gave him everything. I wish I could have quit school to become a fighter but I didn’t have someone to pay for that. He had the easy route. I had to get jobs to stay afloat.”
Regis Prograis is currently 29-1 and riding a five-fight win streak with notable wins over Jose Zepeda and Ivan Redkach.
