Report: Canelo Alvarez Has Received Offers To Fight Jermall Charlo, Dmitry Bivol, GGG
As far as his next fight is concerned, Canelo Alvarez has many options.
Initially, it seemed like Alvarez would move up to cruiserweight to face Ilunga Makabu for his WBC title in an attempt to become champion in another division.
However, that seems to no longer be the case anymore as different opponents have now been reported for the Mexican.
According to ESPN, Alvarez has received an offer from Al Haymon’s PBC for a one-fight offer to defend his super middleweight titles against middleweight titleholder Jermall Charlo on May 7.
Additionally, he has another offer from Eddie Hearn‘s Matchroom Boxing in the form of a two-fight deal. It would include a fight with light heavyweight titleholder Dmitry Bivol on May 7.
It would then be followed by a highly-anticipated trilogy with Gennadiy Golovkin set to take place at 168 pounds on September 17.
As of now, nothing has been decided by Alvarez.
However, the world is his oyster and Alvarez can pick from a wide range of divisions to compete in next to further state his case as being the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.
