REPORT | Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul ‘Officially’ Postponed
The eagerly anticipated exhibition bout between boxing legend Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and YouTube star Logan Paul has been officially postponed according to a report from TMZ Sports which reads.
“The Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul boxing match has officially been postponed, a Mayweather spokesperson tells TMZ Sports … and a source says it’s because of “COVID and other things.”
“The source wouldn’t elaborate about the COVID situation … but told us both Floyd and Logan are actively working on rescheduling the fight as soon as possible.”
The boxing legend and Paul were supposed to clash on February 20. The fight was set to headline on pay-per-view for celebrity custom video platform, Fanmio.
‘Money’ is one of the greatest boxers of all time and boasts a record of 50-0. Since retiring from the sport in 2017, he has stayed busy and even flew to Japan for an exhibition bout against kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa. Mayweather comfortably defeated the youngster via first-round TKO in December 2018 and earned $9 million in the process.
Paul has fought just once in professional boxing. He lost via split decision to fellow YouTuber KSI. The pair previously fought to a draw in their amateur boxing bout.
