Ryan Garcia Reveals Comeback Fight Will Be In October In Los Angeles

Ryan Garcia will be back in action soon.

The WBC interim lightweight champion recently revealed his comeback would be in October against an unnamed opponent.

What we do know is that the fight will take place in Los Angeles, California.

“I’m back in October,” Garcia wrote on Instagram. “I’m having fun. Been a long time but it’ll be worth the wait. LA I’m coming to fight.” 

Garcia was initially set to take on Javier Fortuna last month before pulling out of the fight back in April as he cited mental health issues that needed to be addressed.

“At this time it is important to manage my health and wellbeing. I have decided to take some time off to focus on becoming a stronger version of myself. I hope to be back soon and am looking forward to stepping back into the ring when I am my healthiest self. 

“I want to Thank God, my family, my doctors and my supporters.”

Hopefully, things are all better for Garcia now as he looks to continue his quest of becoming lightweight champion.

As for a potential opponent? It could be JoJo Diaz.
