Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. Moved To June 19
The lightweight title fight between Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos Jr. will be pushed back two weeks.
Lopez was set to defend his WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF lightweight titles against Kambosos in Triller’s main event on June 5.
However, as per Yahoo’s Kevin Iole, it will now take place June 19 at at loanDepot Park in Miami, Florida.
“Absolutely 100 percent, I am leaving with those belts,” Kambosos said. “There are holes in his game and things I will be able to take advantage of and you will see that on June 19.”
Also on the card is a 10-round WBA heavyweight title eliminator as Michael Hunter collides with Mike Wilson.
Unlike other Triller cards, this will purely be an event featuring professional boxers only with no celebrities or non-combat sport athletes taking part.
Triller won the rights to the Lopez vs. Kambosos fight with a $6.02 million bid back in February, beating the likes of Matchroom Boxing and Lopez’s old promoters Top Rank Boxing.
