Terence Crawford vs. Shawn Porter Confirmed, First Poster Drops
Terence Crawford vs. Shawn Porter is finally official.
The pair have been slated to fight each other for the WBO welterweight title for a while now. There were some stumbling blocks, especially as it looked like the fight would end up going to a purse bid last month.
However, both Top Rank and PBC requested an extension and got the deal done for the fight set to take place November 20 in Las Vegas.
And on Wednesday, it was officially announced.
“JUST ANNOUNCED: 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙙 @terencecrawford gets his legacy-defining fight as he’s set to defend his WBO Welterweight title against @ShowtimeShawnP on Saturday, Nov. 20 exclusively on ESPN+ PPV.”
A first poster has also dropped with the event tagline being “It’s on” which you can view below:
For many, this is Crawford’s biggest and toughest title defense yet.
And given the criticism towards his lack of big name on his resume, a win over Porter would certainly go some way in quelling that.
