Tommy Fury opens as big betting favorite to beat UFC alum Darren Till in January boxing match
Officially slated to share the ring at the turn of the year in one of the more surprising boxing matchups – unbeaten puncher, Tommy Fury has opened as a rather significant betting favorite to defeat former UFC title challenger, Darren Till on January 18. under the MisFits Boxing banner.
Fury, a former contestant on the reality television show, Love Island – is probably best known for his pair of fights with both the polarizing, Jake Paul and British musician, KSI – as well as his elder half-brother, former undisputed WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
As for Till, the former unbeaten mixed martial arts sensation managed to work his way to an undisputed welterweight title fight in the UFC – dropping an eventual submission loss to the veteran, Tyron Woodley – before snapping a combat sports losing run in a professional boxing debut this year.

And ahead of the pairing – in which Till will make his sophomore professional boxing walk, Manchester native, Tommy Fury has opened as a sizeable -500 betting favorite to take the win over the +350 betting underdog Liverpudlian, with fans and punters alike able to find the best casino games and betting odds over at Boomerang Sportsbook.
Sidelined since improving to 10-0 in October of last year, Tommy Fury managed to turn in an eventual majority decision win over YouTuber and social media mogul, KSI – adding to an impressive prior win over the above-mentioned, Paul earlier that annum – becoming the first fighter to beat the Ohio native in combat sports.
For Liverpool native, Till, the former undisputed UFC welterweight title challenger made his return to combat sports in Dubai earlier this summer, landing a controversial first round stoppage win over opponent, Mohammad Mutie – before a post-fight brawl ensued.
Ending his lengthy UFC run at the beginning of the year, Till departed the Dana White-led promotion in the midst of a disappointing three-fight losing run – which included submission losses to Dricus du Plessis and Derek Brunson, to go with a decision defeat to Robert Whittaker.
Featuring at a pre-fight press event ahead of the January pairing in Manchester, Till admitted that while he had yet to take in much of Tommy Fury’s professional matches, he was confident of “obliterating” him when they share the squared circle.
“I haven’t seen much of him (Tommy Fury), I know he’s fought a few pros but not seen much of him,” Darren Till explained. “I’m just going to obliterate him, do an absolute number on him, walk him down and obliterate him. And he knows it.”
“No one in here is a threat to me. I’m an MMA fighter so if I was to kick or elbow you in the face, I will and no one will do anything about it,” Darren Till continued. “End of the day, if I can’t beat you, I’ll just kick you in your face, how about that? I’m going to kick you straight in the face, you won’t know what’s hit you. If I’m in the fight and I’m losing, I’m kicking him in the face. You’re an empty head.”
