“The Motor City Cobra” Thomas Hearns starts off our list of the top boxers with the most division titles. Hearns won numerous world titles and was able to conquer five divisions during his career.
He was miraculously able to go over 50 lbs through his career and was able to win a world title. Thomas started his dominance in boxing at the welterweight division and continued for over four decades.
Hearns continued his reign of terror by collecting world titles in the middleweight, super middleweight, light-heavyweight, and cruiserweight division.
Sugar Ray Leonard
Next on our list of the top five boxers with the most division titles is the legendary Sugar Ray Leonard. Ray became the second fighter ever in boxing history to ever win world titles in five separate divisions.
Leonard became a boxing superstar after stopping former champ Wilfred Benitez. Sugar Ray’s star only grew brighter as he took the super welterweight title from Ayub Kalule.
He then took the middleweight title from Marvin Hagler and both the super middleweight and light heavyweight titles from Donny Lalonde. After Ray finished Lalonde in the ninth, he etched his name forever as a boxing icon.
Floyd Mayweather Jr
Not only is Floyd Mayweather Jr one of the top boxers with the most division titles, but arguably the GOAT. Floyd started his legendary reign as a champion in 1998 by stopping Genaro Hernandez for the super featherweight title.
Mayweather’s legend only grew as he collected the lightweight title from Luis Castillo and welterweight title from Arturo Gatti. Money Mayweather continued his excellence and made himself a legend by beating Zab Judah and Oscar De La Hoya back-to-back.

Oscar De La Hoya
In the 1990s/2000s, Oscar De La Hoya was arguably the world’s biggest boxing star. Millions bought the latino star’s PPvs and saw him collect world titles in an astounding six divisions.
ODLH first won the super featherweight title and lightweight world titles in 1994. His 3rd world title by beating the living legend Julio Caesar Chavez for the light welterweight title.
De La Hoya then took the welterweight belt from Pernell Whitaker and then the light-middleweight title from Javier Castillejo. Then in 2004, Oscar made history by becoming a six-division world champion by beating Felix Sturm for the middleweight title.
At the time, this sixth division title made Oscar the best among the top boxers with the most division titles.
