Triller In Talks With Barack Obama To Commentate Lopez-Kambosos
Triller wants to have former POTUS Barack Obama commentate Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos on gamecast.
Lopez is scheduled to defend his WBA, IBF, WBO, and WBC (Franchise) Lightweight Titles against Kambosos on Oct. 4. The title fight will take place inside the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden. It’ll be Lopez’s first fight since pulling off an upset win over Vasiliy Lomachenko back in Oct. 2020.
ESPN’s Mike Coppinger is reporting that Triller is in talks with the Obama Foundation on the possibility of Obama providing commentary for the fight.
“Triller’s Ryan Kavanaugh tells me he’s in talks with the Obama Foundation to have Barack Obama commentate on a gamecast of the Teofimo Lopez-George Kambosos fight. Donald Trump is calling a gamecast of Evander Holyfield-Vitor Belfort tomorrow with Donald Trump Jr.”
Former POTUS Donald Trump will be calling gamecast for this Saturday’s (Sept. 11) boxing match between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. Trump said the following in a press release sent out by Triller.
“I love great fighters and great fights. I look forward to seeing both this Saturday night and sharing my thoughts ringside. You won’t want to miss this special event.”
Triller is experimenting with different alternate broadcasts. Jim Lampley was set to be a part of the traditional broadcast for Holyfield vs. Belfort but he reportedly opted out.
