Tyson Fury Believes Anthony Joshua Is The Easiest Opponent For Him
Tyson Fury is confident he would beat Anthony Joshua rather easily.
Ever since Fury beat Deontay Wilder earlier this year, many thought his next should be against Joshua. It easily would be one of the biggest fights in boxing and a very intriguing one. Fury already beat one of the best in Wilder and if he goes out and beats Joshua, there is no question he is the best heavyweight alive.
If they do end up fighting, Fury is confident he would win and make it look easy as he says Joshua is the easiest opponent for him.
“The easiest opponent I think would be Anthony Joshua just because he’s tailor-made for me,” Fury explained to Wow Hydrate (via Boxingscene). “If ever I could build a perfect opponent I’d be building him.”
Tyson Fury has not fought since the win over Wilder. He was expected to return on December 5 but it did not come to fruition. In his career, he holds wins over Derek Chisora, twice, and Wladimir Klitschko.
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, is set to return to the ring on December 12 against Kubrat Pulev where he is looking to defend his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight title. He has not fought since he beat Andy Ruiz Jr. last December in their rematch after Ruiz Jr. pulled off a massive upset and knocked out Joshua.
There is no question if Fury and Joshua end up fighting, Fury would be favored. The hope for WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman is that fight can happen so the heavyweight division can have one undisputed champion.
“There’s absolutely great hope from the world to see that undisputed fight. Tyson Fury is our champion, our pride. Anthony Joshua holds the other belts and he has been a tremendous asset to the sport. A gentleman, a great career,” Sulaiman told Sky Sports. “To see this showdown, Fury-Joshua, would be tremendous for everyone in the sport of boxing. We will absolutely support it.”
Who would you pick to win, Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua?
