Tyson Fury Believes Deontay Wilder Will KO Robert Helenius
Tyson Fury is confident his rival Deontay Wilder will KO Robert Helenius on Saturday.
Wilder is set to headline a pay-per-view card on Saturday, October 15 against Helenius in Wilder’s first fight since the back-to-back stoppage losses to Fury. He hasn’t fought since last October and contemplated retirement but will now return and has a ton of confidence.
Not only is Wilder confident, but Fury is also confident in ‘The Bronze Bomber’ as he believes Wilder will KO Helenius.
“I think that Helenius is a good fighter,” Fury told ID Boxing (via BoxingScene). “I think that he’s No.1-ranked with the WBA or he should be if he’s not. I think he did an eliminator with Adam Kownacki and I just think that Wilder is a monster puncher and as soon as he lands on Helenius he’s out. I’ve seen Gerald Washington knock Helenius out, and Wilder knocked him out, so… He didn’t do much good with Dillian Whyte, Helenius, couldn’t really hurt him and Wilder punches like five times harder than Whyte so, yeah, KO for sure.”
Although Tyson Fury believes Deontay Wilder will KO Robert Helenius, ‘The Gypsy King’ also has concerns about the damage Wilder has taken and whether or not it will play a role. Yet, he does think a year off was good for him.
“He’s had a year out, we do not know how much the Gypsy King has taken out of Wilder. He’s had a year out and I gave him a hell of a beating that last time, really laid it to him and he needed a long time recover so we will see,” Fury told Seconds Out.
If Wilder does KO Helenius, he has talked about fighting Andy Ruiz Jr. next time out while also wanting to fight Fury again.
