Tyson Fury Has ‘No Boxing Skills,’ Claims Frank Sanchez
Frank Sanchez has an intriguing claim about Tyson Fury.
Sanchez picked up a decision win over Christian Hammer on January 1 to improve his record to 20-0 and one No Contest. He has started to make waves in the heavyweight division and he has now taken a shot at Fury and his boxing skills.
“I want the best right now,” Sanchez told ES News, via the Daily Star. “I knock [Fury] out easily. He has no boxing skills.”
Although a fight with Fury would be big, many think Sanchez is in line to box Oleksandr Usyk in the near future and Sanchez believes that is an easy fight.
“Even easier. Usyk has movement, but he doesn’t have the technique that I do,” Sanchez added.
Sanchez is a training partner of Canelo Alvarez, who the pound-for-pound king is backing his claims as he believes Sanchez is the best heavyweight alive.
“He will be world champion,” Alvarez said about Sanchez. “He will sweep everyone in the heavyweight division because he is a special talent.”
As mentioned, Sanchez is coming off the win over Hammer, and before that, he defeated Efe Ajaba by decision in October. In his career, he holds notable wins over Nagy Aguilera and Victor Bisbal. He’s also the current NABO heavyweight champion and WBC Continental Americas champion.
Tyson Fury, meanwhile, is coming off back-to-back knockout wins over Deontay Wilder to win and defend the WBC and The Ring heavyweight title. He does not have his next fight booked but could potentially box Andy Ruiz Jr. next and maybe face Sanchez in the next year or so as he builds his name up.
