Tyson Fury Says If Oleksandr Usyk Doesn’t Take The Fight, They Will Offer It To Anthony Joshua
Tyson Fury has made it known he wants to fight and says if Oleksandr Usyk doesn’t take the fight, he will turn his attention to Anthony Joshua.
Fury announced his retirement following his win over Dillian Whyte, but he has come out and said he will fight again. He has made it known he wants to face Oleksandr Usyk next but the fight hasn’t been made and now he says he will turn his attention to Joshua if Usyk is a hassle to deal with.
“I still think, even though he’s lost three of his last five fights… I still think that people would like to see that fight,” Fury said to BT Sport (h/t BoxingScene). “If that [Usyk] fight doesn’t happen, then we’ll go and offer AJ the fight.”
Anthony Joshua has said he wants to return in December and perhaps that return fight is against Tyson Fury in what would be a massive bout. The Brit is coming off the loss to Usyk and had a bit of a meltdown after the loss which Fury says he doesn’t care about or have any thoughts on.
“I saw all that, but I’m not someone to jump on somebody like that. I don’t give a f— what somebody says; that’s up to them, none of my business. Listen, everyone has to do what they have to do in life, and it’s none of my business what he does after the fight,” Fury said. “My job is boxing, not what he said. I’ve said tons of sh!t in the past, I don’t want judging on it. My job is boxing, so I judge these guys on their boxing performances – not on what they do outside of boxing. No interest in that sh!t.”
