Tyson Fury Vows To Stop Oleksandr Usyk Inside Six Rounds
Tyson Fury is confident he wouldn’t just beat Oleksandr Usyk but would stop him inside six rounds.
After Uysk beat Joshua in the rematch, both Usyk and Fury made it known they want the fight to happen. It would be one of the biggest bouts in all of boxing and the hope for many fans is it will happen. Bob Arum has also said he doesn’t think it will be that hard to put together so if it does get made Fury is confident he will stop Usyk inside six rounds.
“Me and SugarHill Steward both are convinced that if it goes six rounds, that’s a sh!t performance,” Fury told Seconds Out (h/t BoxingScene). “I’ll cut him down inside six, for sure. And Sugar reckons I’ll cut him down inside four. So we’ve actually got a bet on, which one gets done first.”
Although it’s still not certain if the fight will happen, Tyson Fury has made it known he wants to fight again this year. With that, the next fight might not be Oleksandr Usyk as the Brit says he won’t wait for him but will fight again later this year, perhaps against Joshua.
“Usyk was calling me out after his last fight with Joshua, I’ve replied and said let’s do the fight this year, wherever they want to do it,” Fury said. “I’ve been waiting for offers from countries to come forward, and all of a sudden Usyk has stated he doesn’t want to fight any more, he wants to fight next year, not this year. So, I’m not going to wait around for anybody, I’m announcing a fight next week.”
Do you think Tyson Fury would finish Oleksandr Usyk inside six rounds as he says?
