Tyson Fury Wants The Rock To Play Him In Hollywood Movie About His Life

Tyson Fury is hoping Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, plays him in a Hollywood movie about his life.

Fury is set to defend his heavyweight titles against Dillian Whyte on April 23 which he says will be the final fight of his career. After his career is over, he says a Hollywood movie will be made about his life and wants The Rock to play him.

“I have been offered Hollywood movies plenty of times,” Fury told BT Sport. “But they will 10 per cent do a movie about me one day. I have got six kids at home and a wife. When is enough enough? Why do I have to be one of them people who goes on too long and gets injured for one too many fights and be known for guy who blew it all for a few quid?

“I want to retire on top, do a Netflix documentary about me and a Hollywood movie. I do love this sport but when I am done, I am done,” Fury continues. “I always say I never get involved in other people’s business because there is so many trainers and managers with more experience than me. So I will let them stay involved in their business same as they have let me do my job as a fighter. They are already there. I could probably talk about boxing like you do, commentary or punditry.”

A movie about Tyson Fury’s life certainly makes sense given everything he has gone through. He was the heavyweight champion and then left the sport, was addicted to drugs and got overweight but ended up returning to the sport to reclaim his heavyweight title. But, whether or not The Rock will play him to be seen.

However, in order for the movie to have a proper ending, Fury will need to beat Whyte on April 23 to retire on top.
