VIDEO | Mike Tyson In Training For Evander Holyfield Trilogy Bout
Heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson is training hard ahead of his second exhibition bout.
‘Iron Mike’ returned to the boxing ring for the first time in 15 years when he fought Roy Jones Jr. to a draw on November 28.
While it was a major success overall, many wanted to see Tyson face his old rival in Holyfield instead.
In the post-fight press conference, Tyson laid the blame on Holyfield’s team for the fight not coming to fruition.
Since then negotiations have continued an announcement for the highly anticipated trilogy bout is expected to be made in the coming weeks.
The four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield announced his boxing comeback just one week after his rival.
‘The Real Deal’ hasn’t fought since 2011 when he knocked out Brian Nielsen inside ten rounds.
In 1996 Holyfield pulled off a huge upset to stop ‘Iron Mike’ in 11 rounds.
One year later the pair fought again in one of the most controversial bouts of all time, as Tyson was disqualified for biting off a piece of Holyfield’s ear in the third round.
Now it looks like they’ll settle the score in 2021.
In the build-up to his last fight Tyson released several training clips which displayed his scary knockout power.
Ahead of his next fight, he’s again dropped some training footage that shows him hitting pads with Rafael Cordiero – check it out.
