Zhilei Zhang Confident He Will KO Joseph Parker

Zhilei Zhang has full confidence he will KO Joseph Parker when the two fight on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.

Zhang and Parker are set to fight on the undercard in the heavyweight bout between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou. Although the focus is on Joshua vs. Ngannou, Zhang believes he will steal the show against Parker.

Why Zhilei Zhang thinks he will steal the show is because the Chinese heavyweight believes he will KO Parker to make a statement.

“I really think my fight against Parker will be very exciting, and possibly the most exciting of the night. Under normal circumstances, our fight would be the main event. But these amazing cards in Saudi Arabia presented by His Excellency are so special, that I’m just happy to play a part in one of them,” Zhang said to Gambling.com. 

“The fight against Parker will be very different than the fight against Joyce. My preparation, approach, and game plan will be different for Parker. Parker performed great against Deontay Wilder and anything can happen in boxing. I am expecting a tough fight, but I think I will win by knockout for sure. I have the power to win in style,” Zhang continued.

Zhilei Zhang is 26-1-1 as a pro and coming off back-to-back knockout wins over Joe Joyce. If Zhang beats Parker, he would be in line to fight for the heavyweight title. In his career, he has notable wins over Devin Vargas, Peter Graham, and Andriy Rudenko.

Joseph Parker, meanwhile, is 34-3 and coming off the biggest win of his career as he beat Deontay Wilder by one-sided decision back in December. He’s on a four-fight win streak, while in his career, he has notable wins over Derek Chisora, Junior Fa, Andy Ruiz Jr., and Alexander Flores among others.
