Zhilei Zhang Confident His Power Would Be Too Much For Tyson Fury

Zhilei Zhang believes his power would be the difference in a potential boxing match against Tyson Fury.

Fury is set to box Oleksandr Usyk in February for the undisputed heavyweight titles in what will be a massive fight. Although there is a rematch clause for the bout, the hope is Zhang will get to fight Fury in the very near future as he believes it is a winnable fight for him.

“I think it is simple, Fury didn’t train for this fight [against Ngannou],” Zhang told Metro.co.uk. “To be honest with you, he is not the version we are used to seeing. I can see his mindset is not in boxing at the moment, he is doing commercial things, he is doing PR, marketing, different things, but not boxing. And in this business, you can’t really fool yourself. You can’t fool training. After the fight [against Ngannou] in his press conference and interviews he said he had a good training camp for that fight. If that is the case, he has a very big problem going into the Usyk fight.”

Not only does Zhilei Zhang believe Tyson Fury has a big problem against Oleksandr Usyk, but the Chinese heavyweight thinks if the two fight, he will drop and KO Fury.

“If you look at his career, he’s got hit, he’s got dropped, and my punches are not a joke,” Zhang said on the Town Bizznizz sports and ent YouTube channel. “When my punches land, it’s going to be a disaster for him.”

Although Zhilei Zhang has confidence in himself, it’s uncertain if he will ever have the opportunity to box Tyson Fury. Fury will face Usyk and there is a chance that should he win, perhaps he will walk away from the sport.
