What is Conor McGregor doing?
Conor McGregor is reportedly gearing up for an exhibition boxing match against Logan Paul. Wait, what?
Yes, you heard that right. Conor McGregor has announced that before his return to the cage, he is planning on taking a boxing match against Logan Paul in India. Up to this point, there’s been no official confirmation outside of what Conor himself has said, meaning it’s really just going to be a waiting game.
In a general sense, though, there are plenty of questions circulating regarding what exactly Conor McGregor is doing. Following on from him being found liable in a sexual assault civil case, all eyes are on the Irishman to see what he can do in order to repair his reputation.
For some, this may be seen as a step in the right direction. For others, meanwhile, it could be viewed as an attempt to distract from the bigger picture.
Conor McGregor’s big ‘plan’
Everyone knows that Conor McGregor is a superstar. Alas, the public opinion of him has shifted pretty dramatically after the aforementioned court case. A lot of people now want to push him to one side and pretend he never existed. In equal measure, though, there are fans who still want to see what exactly he has left inside the cage.
The UFC, undoubtedly, would love to have him back for a blockbuster pay-per-view event – regardless of who the opponent turns out to be. Still, given that it’ll be four years next summer since he’s actually competed, how much interest is there from casual fans?
We really aren’t sure what the answer is to that. Conor McGregor will go down in history in this sport for all the right reasons, but at the same time, nobody will be able to avoid all of the mistakes he’s made – and neither should they.
